Japan v Moscow Dynamo v Sweden - 1962

Sweden toured Japan in December 1962, playing in a four-team tournament against Moscow Dynamo from Russia, the Japan National Team and a Japan youth team. For Sweden, the main purpose of the tour was to prepare the Swedish team for the qualifying tournament for the 1964 Olympic Games, and also to practice in conditions similar to those that would be experienced in 1964 in Japan if Sweden qualified. Of the 18 Sweden players on the tour, nine were debutants, and a further six had fewer than five caps prior to the tour. In the tournament, Sweden defeated Japan 5-1 on 9 December, Moscow Dynamo narrowly defeated Japan 3-2 on 11 December, Sweden beat the Japan Youth team 4-0 on 12 December and Sweden and Moscow Dynamo drew 0-0 on 16 December.
