Indianapolis Racing in Japan - 1966
Fifty years ago an Indy 200 race took place in Japan that featured USAC stars, Formula 1 champions and IndyCars on a road race. The race took place on Sunday 9 October 1966 at the Fuji International Circuit. The race was won by Jackie Stewart in his Lola/Ford with Americans Bobby Unser and Arnie Knepper in second and third place respectively. Jim Clark and Mario Andretti ended up as spectators after their engines broke.
