1972 Winter Olympics - Sapporo

Japan hosted the 1972 Winter Olympics from 3 to 13 February 1972 in Sapporo, Hokkaido. 35 Nations participated, and there were thirty five events contested in 10 different disciplines covering Alpine Skiing, Biathlon, Bobsleigh, Cross-country skiing, Figure Skating, Ice Hockey, Luge, Nordic Combined, Ski Jumping and Speed Skating.

As well as an 'Official Commemorative Programme', individual programmes were issued for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, and daily programmes for each of the different disciplines. The front covers of the eight daily programmes from my collection are shown below.

Different styles of tickets were issued for each of the different disciplines. Five of these are shown below as I have just started to collect them.

Three large official posters were issued for the games as shown below, from my collection.
