Japan v Juventus Sao Paulo v FC Constanta - 1974

Juventus Sao Paulo of Brazil and FC Constanta of Romania travelled to Japan in January 1973 to play in a four-team tournament against the Japan National Team and a Japan Selection Team.

Confusingly the tickets state it is Steau Bucharest, another Romanian team playing, but this is not correct. The programme clearly states it is FC Constanta taking part.

In the four-team tournament Japan lost 0-1 to FC Constanta on 13 January, lost 2-4 to the Japan Selection Team on 15 January and lost 1-2 to Juventus Sao Paulo on 20 January.

The official programme, which covers all of the games has 14 x B5 pages (three of which are adverts) and is all in Japanese.

The pin badge/medal I have in my collection for the four-team tournament is also very rare and interesting and I suspect might possibly have been given to one of the players or officials?
