Goals from Roy Makaay, Lucio, Guerrero and Hasan Salihamidzic earned Bayern a comfortable 4-0 victory over FC Tokyo in the first tour game played on 28 July.

Two second half goals from Michael Ballack and another goal from Guerrero earned Bayern Munich a hard fought 3-1 victory over Jubilo Iwata in Bayern's second tour game played on 30 July. Maeda had previously given Jubilo Iwata a first half lead.
