The 2007 Kirin Cup featured Japan, Montenegro and Colombia. In the opening game in Shizuoka on 1 June 2007 Japan defeated Montenegro 2-0 with goals from Yuji Nakazawa and Naohiro Takahara. In the second game in Nagano on 3 June Colombia defeated Montenegro 1-0 with a goal from Falcao. In the final game in Saitama on 5 June Japan and Colombia drew 0-0, which meant that Japan won the 2007 Kirin Cup on goal difference.

The official 2007 Kirin Cup programme shown below has 68 x glossy colour B5 pages and is housed within a hard A4 4-page cover with the 2007 Kirin Cup fixtures on the front and details of previous Kirin Cups on the inside. Apart from some introductions in English, the 2007 Kirin Cup programme is all in Japanese. The programme includes the list of fixtures. It then has an extensive article on Japan's National Team together with large photos of their star players including Yoshikatsu Kawaguchi and Shunsuke Nakamura. There is an article on the 2007 Asian Cup to be played in one months time with Japan as defending champions. There are articles on the Montenegro and Colombia National teams and there are details of previous Kirin Cup Soccer Tournaments. Finally there is an article and photos of Japanese footballers playing overseas including Nakamura at Celtic.
