The 2009 Kirin Cup featured Japan, Belgium and Chile. In the opening game in Osaka on 27 May 2009 Japan defeated Chile 4-0 in front of over 43,000 supporters with two goals from Okazaki and a goal each from Abe and Honda. In the second game in Chiba on 29 May Belgium and Chile drew 1-1 in front of 6,000 supporters with goals from Roelandts (Belgium) and Medel (Chile). In the final game in Tokyo on 31 May Japan defeated Belgium 4-0 in front of 42,000 supporters with goals from Nagatoma, Nakamura, Okazaki and Yano, which meant that Japan were crowned champions of the 2009 Kirin Cup.

The programme includes the list of fixtures.
