Borussia Dortmund travelled to Japan as part of a pre-season Asia tour, playing Kawasaki Frontale in a friendly on 7 October 2015. Borussia Dortmund comfortably won the match 6-0 with two first-half goals from their Japanese star Shinji Kagawa, two second-half goals from substitute Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and two further goals from Mitsuru Maruoka and Jon Gorenc Stankovic.
