About Me
I live in Glenrothes, Scotland with my wife Veronika and our three children Berenika, Sebastian and Gabriella.
I collected football programmes as a child but then stopped collecting for a long time. I became interested in collecting programmes and other football memorabilia again about twenty years ago when I discovered ebay.
I started collecting Japanese football memorabilia just over twenty years ago, mainly memorabilia associated with the Toyota Cups although now my collection also includes memorabilia for European and South American teams playing in Japan in other competitions and friendlies.
As well as Japanese football memorabilia I also collect programmes for World Cup Finals, European Championship Finals, European/Champions League Finals, Scotland international games, and Glasgow Rangers Cup Finals and European Games.
My favourite football teams are my local team Raith Rovers, Glasgow Rangers and of course Scotland. In England my favourite football team is Liverpool.
The most memorable football games I have been lucky enough to go to and watch are:
• Champions League Final in Glasgow in 2002 – Real Madrid v Bayer Leverkusen (I was right in line with Zidane when he scored his brilliant winning goal!);
• Scottish League Cup Final in Glasgow in 2003 – Rangers 2 Celtic 1;
• FIFA Club World Cup Finals in Japan in 2005 – Liverpool v Sao Paulo;
• World Cup 2006 in Germany – 3rd/4th place game – Germany v Portugal;
• UEFA Cup Final in Manchester in 2008 – Rangers v Zenit St Petersburg.
2002 Champions League Final
World Cup 2006
2008 UEFA Cup Final
My remaining ambition is to travel to watch Scotland play in a World Cup Finals (if Scotland ever manage to qualify for the Finals again!).
